“It was important to us that there be a smooth transition from the main level to the lower level. We didn't want it to feel like a cramped, dark basement.” After discussing the objectives for the project with their interior designer, Michal Crosby, Bob recommended an architect to aid in the deisgn process, Dale Mulfinger with SALA Architects. “It was a relief to work with people who already had extensive working relationships with Bob. Going in from the beginning our trust level with him as well as George, the lead carpenter, was very high and remained that way throughout the duration of the project.”
